Cheryl is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families achieve balance in their everyday lives while experiencing joy in the process. With extensive training in education and counseling, she has supported families through transitions such as divorce, merging families, parenting, and marriage. Cheryl also works with individuals on self-esteem, confidence, communication techniques, and interpersonal relationships. Her eclectic approach incorporates family systems, attachment theory, and CBT.
Cheryl's work with teenagers allows her to connect with the emotional and biological changes of pre-adolescence and adolescence, making her relatable to people of all ages. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between children and their parents to foster unity and harmony in the home.
Outside the office, Cheryl loves spending time with her husband and three young sons. She fully embraces being a "boy mom" (minus the mess) and believes the home is the best classroom. You might find her catching critters, conducting science experiments, or getting lost in a good book (her recent favorite is "The Women"). Cheryl is a coffee enthusiast, a sour-dough expert wanna-be, and is happiest when she is traveling the world with her family. Recently, she spent a year on sabbatical with her family, traveling and investing in their family life. This experience has deepened her understanding of family dynamics and strengthened her commitment to helping others.
Cheryl recently launched True North Families, offering encouragement, inspiration, and guidance to families.
